Privacy Policy

Introduction

Huff Intelligence, LLC ("Huff", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Huff platform, including the website and mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Service.

Information we collect

Account information: when you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and, optionally, your phone number and job title. If you sign in through Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider.

Usage information: we collect information about how you use the Service, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken. This helps us improve the product and diagnose issues.

Device information: when you use the mobile application, we collect your device type, operating system, and a push notification token if you enable notifications.

Location: the Service may request your location to show nearby sites on the map. Location access is optional and used only while you are actively using the Service. We do not track your location in the background.

How we use your information

We use your information to: (a) provide and maintain the Service; (b) authenticate your identity and manage your account; (c) send push notifications about new activity in your territory, if you opt in; (d) respond to your requests and provide support; (e) improve and develop the Service; and (f) comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising.

AI features

The Service includes an optional AI assistant ("Ask Huff") that can answer questions about your territory and data. When you use Ask Huff, your query and relevant context are sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI processes this data under their API terms and does not use it to train their models. You can use the Service without using Ask Huff.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

Firebase (Google): authentication and account management. Google Cloud: database hosting and infrastructure. OpenAI: AI assistant processing (Ask Huff, optional). Expo: mobile push notification delivery. Nominatim (OpenStreetMap): geocoding of addresses.

Each of these services processes data under their own privacy policies. We select providers that offer appropriate data protection commitments.

Cookies and local storage

The Service uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie is essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled while using the Service. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking cookies.

The mobile application does not use cookies. It stores your session token securely on your device.

Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days for debugging and security purposes.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You may: (a) access the personal information we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate information; (c) request deletion of your account and associated data; and (d) export your data.

Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other means. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
